In the past few years a new movement has been forming just outside of the mainstream, and it’s gaining traction. It’s called citizen science, and it’s a way for ordinary people just like you and I to do real science, even if we don’t have any qualifications or degrees.
This infographic explains what citizen science is, how enthusiasts have been contributing to our understanding of our universe, and why you might like to get involved.
There are dozens of citizen science projects to join, with more being added every week, so no matter what your interests are or level of commitment is, you will be able to find something to do. There are even some citizen science projects that are structured like games, but with these, you won’t have to pay to unlock the next level, or annoy your friends with updates.
