More than 1 out of 3 women in the U.S. have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old. The cost is usually higher for a second-trimester abortion. Costs vary depending on how long a woman has been pregnant and where she has it done. Hospitals generally cost more.
This is 6.2 percent fewer abortions than were reported in 2010. Teenage patients accounted for 1,015 and 341 patients were under the age of 18. For patients under 18, Kansas requires that a parent be told of the decision prior to the abortion. However, minors can ask a judge to excuse them from this requirement.
