This Info Graph takes a deeper look into the levels of problem gambling found within England specifically. If you’re someone who questions the validity of such statistics, then you can be assured by the fact they’ve taken their findings from the British Gambling Commissions report on the Gambling industry for 2016. You can find the creators of this Graph over at this website.
Findings showed that over half the people in England have gambled in some form, totalling a whopping 56%. Furthermore, when we exclude players who had only gambled in the National Lottery draws this figure still remains a big proportion of the English people at a total of 42%. These big figures can be then compared to the very small amount of English people identifying as problem gamblers. There is only 0.7% who identify as one, suggesting a very small amount considering all the negative stigmas and associations of gambling.
