Here we have a new Info-Graph reviewing the key facts and figures found within the British Gambling Industry. There’s plenty of different statistics found in this one so sit back and get ready. They have used verified and accurate data collected in the yearly report of the industry conducted by UKGC (UK Gambling Commission).
The findings showed an array of different changes in the Industry from 2016 till 2017. For example, it was shown that the total Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) had increased by +0.7% on the previous year, up to a gigantic £13.9 billion. Furthermore, the total number of Casinos was now standing at 152, up by +2%. However, it was actually shown that the number of employees in the industry has taken a fall, by -0.8%. Potentially being a result of other findings, for example, betting shop premises declined by -3.2%. These make up the majority of gambling shops with a total of 8,532 of them.
