The technician program at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy is designed to provide students with the instruction on skills necessary and information required to pursue a career as an EKG/ECG Technician. Students who successfully complete this program may also challenge the NHA EKG/ECG Certification Exam. This 45 clock-hour program consists of 25 hours of lecture and 20 hours of laboratory skills training. Students in the EKG/ECG Program will be expected to participate in administering and receiving 12-lead EKGs during lab practice.
