COVID-19 has forced us to reduce contact with others and in turn the event industry has taken a hit as all exhibition halls have been closed and events have been cancelled. Conversing face to face brings many benefits which allow us to steer a conversation and build relationships. It’s not impossible to do virtually, but there’s something a lot more familiar with in person interaction.
In addition to the body language and building confidence, the exhibition hall atmosphere is incomparable. The large environment houses hundreds of businesses, and thousands of people who are interested in expanding their business in some capacity. The hustle and bustle of the event is enough to lift spirits, encourage conversation and make an exciting day even more enjoyable.
Online platforms, as we know, have been helpful and allowed business to continue trading and increase their online presence. However, it’s important to not forget the social aspects of greeting visitors and the impact this can have.
